Was disappointed that you couldn't make your own hood like 2 though. I didn't mind not having open world in 4, because my Sims always stayed at one place anyway in ts3, and loading was slow. All of the charm of that game can't be beaten, imo. Adds a new element to the game for people like my sister and I who use to just use the game to have house building contests as kids People are really good at making houses and I love browsing them all and trying to make my own to share. I think the big thing I like about sims 4 is the gallery tho.
They just feel so stale and easy to jump between, making them less serious imo? Just doesn't feel like as big as an accomplishment when I get one done. I don't like the lifetime achievements in sims 4. But sims 4 completely ruined the towns imo. In sims 2 I use to make my own towns from scratch and go all out on them, Sims 3 I felt had enough leeway that I still enjoyed it especially since the world progressed on its own, so it still had life to it. I also HATE how limited the town's are in sims 4. Rather than having to spend hours on a neighborhood lot just for some plants to grow in sims 4. I like the open world and really like hunting down gems and new plants to grow, so I liked exploring the world and finding these things.
As well as th layout of things like loading screens/menus.īUT for actual gameplay I prefer 3. The houses and graphics and style all look more appealing to me. So I can't say much for expansions other than the price kills me Ive played sims 1-4 but only had a ton of expansions for 2 and like 1-3 for the the newer ones.
